Abstract
Deep space infections such as iliopsoas abscess and septic arthritis are individually rare and often difficult to diagnose. Early, appropriate imaging is essential, especially in high-risk populations such as patients with history of intravenous drug use (IVDU) or chronic infections. These infections often present atypically and are frequently overlooked, especially when coexisting. Our goal is to demonstrate how point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and early cross-sectional imaging can identify rare coexisting infections early enough to prevent joint destruction or systemic spread.
