About

I am a neurobiologist with 25 years of research experience and 15 years of teaching experience. I have published research primarily on the roles of matrix metalloproteinases and cyclic nucleotide-gated ion channels in the physiological functioning of the brain and behavior. My current research in medical education includes topics in medical student and physician resilience factors and the role of medical schools in preparing students for the interactions with mortality they will have as physicians.
